The dose pen rechargeable system is the new proprietary, inhalable product from dosist. It is created by combining the dose controller (a rechargeable, advanced-technology custom lithium-ion battery) with the dosist formula pod (containing 200 doses /500mg of a targeted cannabis formulation) to deliver a precise dose each time. It is a rechargeable, sustainable and flexible dosist experience. The dose controller and the dosist formula pod are sold separately.

How does the dose pen rechargeable system work?

The dose pen rechargeable system works by combining the dose controller (a rechargeable custom lithium-ion battery) with a dosist formula pod (a ceramic chamber pod containing 200 doses /500mg of a targeted cannabis formulation) to create a rechargeable dose pen product experience. The formula pod works exclusively with the dose controller and connects via a custom magnetic hold using 24k gold electrical contacts for the most consistent and reliable power connection available. The dose controller and the dosist formula pod are sold separately.

What are the features of the formula pod?

The dosist formula pod is made from medical grade materials and each pod contains a specific dosist formula. The formula pod houses a ceramic wick for faster, more efficient saturation and a medical grade stainless steel coil for a more even temperature ramp optimizing the cannabinoid use.

What are the features of the controller?

The controller is powered by a UL1642 certified 150 mAh rechargeable lithium ion battery and driven by an intelligent microcontroller unit (MCU) ensuring a precise 2.5mg dose of our targeted formulas.

What are the features of the charger?

The dose controller comes with a custom charging cable. The charger has a standard USB Type-A connector, which can be connected to any appropriate USB power source. The opposite end of the charger cable is a custom magnetic cup engineered to connect perfectly to the controller with a magnetic hold.

Can I use any dosist formula pod with the dose controller?

The dose controller works exclusively with the dosist formula pod and you can use any dosist formula pod with the dose controller. The dose pen rechargeable system allows dosist formula pods to be interchanged at any time so that you can experience the range of benefits and potencies available from dosist formulas and find the right formula for you at the right time.

Can I use dosist formula pods on my dose pen 100?

No. The dose pen 100 is a closed-loop device that cannot be disconnected. dosist formula pods can only be used with the new dose controller. We ask consumers to please not attempt to try and disconnect or tamper with any dosist products for your safety. What formulas do the dosist formula pods come in?

dosist formula pods are available to purchase in any dosist formula - bliss, sleep, calm, relief, arouse, bliss thc-plus, arouse thc-plus and relax thc-plus. The dose pen rechargeable system allows dosist formula pods to be interchanged at any time so you can experience the range of benefits and potencies available from dosist formulas. Can I use the dose controller with any cannabis formula pod or cartridge?

No. The dose pen rechargeable system is a proprietary closed loop system and the dose controller works exclusively with dosist formula pods.

How much does the dose pen rechargeable system cost?

The dose controller battery sells for an MSRP of $29 (not including local and state taxes). The dose controller comes with a custom USB (Type-A) charger, instruction manual and one year warranty.

The dosist formula pod (200 dose/500mg - in any formula) is sold for $39 (not including local and state taxes).

You can also purchase a replacement charger for your dose controller. A replacement, single charger (no dose controller) is sold separately for an MSRP of $8 (not including local and state taxes).

How do I connect and disconnect the dose controller to the formula pod?

Remove the protective caps from both the dose controller and the formula pod. Insert the base of the pod into the open end of the controller. A short vibration and brief illumination from the LED light will signal a successful connection. To remove the pod from the controller pull firmly apart. Pods can be interchanged with other dosist formula pods at any time. dosist suggests storing disconnected pods in child-resistant casing when not in use.

How do I charge the dose pen rechargeable?

Locate the charger included with your dose controller. The charger has a standard USB Type-A connector, which can be connected to any appropriate USB power source. The opposite end of the charging cable is a custom magnetic cup engineered to connect perfectly to the controller with a magnetic hold.

To charge, connect the USB connector to its power source and attach the cup of the charger to the base of the controller to engage a magnetic hold - the controller will emit a brief vibration to let you know it is successfully connected. Your dose controller will now begin charging. While the controller is charging, the charger will show a breathing LED light around the magnetic cup base to let you know that charging is in progress.

If no LED light appears check the connection from charger cup to controller, or at the point of USB insertion and repeat connection.

Your dose controller can be charged with or without the formula pod attached. Always disconnect the dose pen from the charger before use.

If you have misplaced your charging cable, it is possible to purchase a single replacement charger from any participating retailer.

How will I know when the dose pen is fully charged?

When the dose controller is fully charged, the LED light at the base of the charger cup will no longer show a breathing light, and will show a solid light.

How will I know when my dose pen rechargeable needs charging?

Your dose controller will let you know when it requires charging (less than 30% battery life) by emitting two short vibrations and two short illuminations of the LED light, following the sequence of a normal dose.

Can I use the dose pen rechargeable when it is low on battery?

You can continue to use your dose controller when the battery is low. Your dose controller will let you know when it requires charging (less than 30% battery life) by emitting two short vibrations and two short illuminations of the LED light, following the sequence of a normal dose. Always disconnect the dose pen from the charger before use.

What if my dose controller does not illuminate or vibrate when I connect it?

The dose controller will emit a brief vibration and illumination to let you know it is successfully connected to the formula pod and/or the charging cable. If the dose controller does not do so, make sure that all of the connection points of the formula pod, dose controller and charger are clean, dry and free from obstruction and repeat the connection paying close attention to the fit of the custom pieces coming together.

How do I use the dose pen rechargeable?

Once you have successfully assembled and charged your dose pen rechargeable pen (see ‘How do I charge my dose pen rechargeable?’ and ‘How do I connect and disconnect my dose pen rechargeable’ in this FAQ section or within your instruction manual), locate the mouthpiece located at the curved end of the formula pod, directly above the reservoir window. For a single 2.5mg dose, inhale steadily for 3 full seconds until you feel a slight vibration. The vibration signals you have completed a single dose.

How do I determine how many doses to consume?

For new cannabis users, we recommend up to one dose per hour, for moderate cannabis users up to two doses per hour and for experienced cannabis users we recommend up to three doses per hour.

How do I care for my dose pen rechargeable?

Store the dose controller, charger and formula pods in a cool, dry place to ensure maximum performance. Please avoid storing your dose pen rechargeable system in your car or other locations with extreme heat (over 90 degrees Fahrenheit), as heat can compromise the the device and avoid submerging the device in water as this can can short out the microprocessor and disable the device.

We recommend keeping disconnected formula pods in their child-resistant case when not in use to avoid accumulation of unwanted elements around the mouthpiece.

What is the shelf life or expiration of the dosist formula pod?

We recommend using the dosist formula pod within 12 months of the date of production, OR, within 12 months of the test date (please reference whichever is the most recent) listed on the product.

Does the dose controller come with a warranty?

How do I register my dose controller?

To register your device go to dosist.com/register and enter the serial number of your dose controller.

Why do you recommend registering my dose controller purchase?

When you register your dose controller at dosist.com/register, it will associate the serial number of the device with your contact information for a more streamlined product service experience. You only need to do this once and we will be able to better identify the purchase and manufacturing information, and offer support in the case of repair or replacement.

Where can I find the serial number of my dose controller?

The unique serial number of your dose controller can be found printed inside the original instruction manual that accompanied your dose controller purchase, as well as etched inside the open end of the dose controller.

What makes the dose pen technology unique?

Unlike many vaporizer products on the market today, the dose pen was designed specifically to accurately and appropriately deliver targeted doses of cannabis oil. Using all medical grade and custom-designed components, the dose pen was the first device to deliver a metered dosage with each activation.

What temperature does each dose pen heat up to?

Temperature control is one of the most important features of dose pen technology. The dose pen was specifically designed for cannabis oil and engineered to effectively heat the cannabinoids and terpenes of our formulations at the appropriate temperatures. During our three second dose, the device employs a controlled temperature ramp-up to 500 degrees to achieve maximum efficacy.

Do I need a medical recommendation to purchase a dose pen 100?

In US states where cannabis is available for adult use and dosist is sold (e.g., California, Nevada, Colorado), a medical recommendation is not required. You will need to provide a valid government-issued photo ID showing that you are at least 21 years of age.

What is the dosist performance gummy?

When dosist decided to do a gummy, we wanted to elevate the gummy experience. We worked tirelessly to make a plant-based performance gummy - one made with clean ingredients and natural fruit flavors.

What makes the dosist gummy special? 

The dosist gummy is a 100% vegan gummy featuring the best ingredients and flavors. The dosist gummy is also created using our proprietary nanoblend process (see below for more detail) that protects the cannabinoids for maximum absorption and delivers an elevated cannabis experience.

What is nanoblend*? 

We developed a proprietary "self- microemulsifying drug delivery system" called nanoblend that creates greater bioavailability between the cannabinoids, oil, apricot kernel ester and saliva through natural absorption in the mouth and upper stomach. What are the ingredients in the dosist gummy? 

Our gummies are made with natural vegan (see below for additional info) ingredients. They are free from gluten, GMO and high-fructose corn syrup. Alongside specific cannabinoid ratios and formula ingredients, our gummies also include: tapioca syrup, cane sugar, pectin, citric acid, cannabis extract, sunflower oil, apricot kernel esters and MCT (coconut) oil*.

*coconut oil may be an allergen for some. live resin gummy does not include MCT (coconut) oil.

Why is the dosist gummy vegan? 

We wanted to make a delicious plant-based gummy. 

Most Gummy companies use gelatin. Gelatin is not plant-based. The downside of gelatin is that you are eating animal scraps. Gummy companies that use gelatin do so because it’s easier and cheaper to make gummies with gelatin.  

We use organic Pectin. Pectin is a type of starch, called a heteropolysaccharide, that occurs naturally in the cell walls of fruits and vegetables and gives them structure. When combined with sugar and acid, it is what makes our gummies have that perfect chew. Pectin is fruit-based. And when combined with natural flavors and premium cannabis it elevates all the flavonoids and flavors so your mouth is bursting with plant-based tasty goodness.

How do I determine how many gummies to consume? 

As with all ingestibles, onset time and duration will vary. We recommend starting with a single dose (1 gummy) and suggest waiting 2 hours to gauge the effect before ingesting another dose.

How do I open the dosist gummy tin? 

To open the dosist gummy tin, hold the base of the tin in one hand whilst pressing down firmly on the outer edge of the top of the tin in the other hand and turning the top counterclockwise. If you hear a clicking sound when turning you will need to apply more pressure.

Is the dosist gummy tin recyclable? 

The dosist gummy tin is 100% curbside recyclable.

What is the shelf life or expiration for the gummy?

The "best by" date for each product is listed on the back of the package. We recommend fully consuming the gummies within six (6) months of purchase to maintain full potency. Please store in a cool, dry place.

What are the ingredients in dosist formulas?

dosist formulations contain only distilled cannabinoids found in cannabis and the natural plant-based terpenes. Within our formulation 90% is comprised of major cannabinoids THC and CBD as well as minor cannabinoids such as CBC and CBG. The remainder of the formula consists of the natural terpene profiles developed by dosist to provide the greatest level of efficacy.

Are there any fillers or cutting agents in dosist’s formulas?

At no point in the formulation process does dosist utilize any fillers or synthetic agents that alter the pure cannabis oil and botanical terpene formulation.

Is the CBD used in dosist formulas derived from cannabis flowers/leaves or hemp stalks/seeds?

All dosist formulations contain only distilled cannabis oil (both THC and CBD dominant extracts) and terpenes derived from all-natural plant material.
